This week I was gifted with Nails Inc Gel Polish in Porchester Sqaure. Griege as some of you who read the blog regularly will know is my favourite nail shade. I was over the moon at this gift from one of the most amazing women in the beauty industry, she inspires me daily to push to work harder and think differently. So this weeks #SundayNails is dedicated to her.
I have also been itching to try this Gel Polish for awhile. After my experience with Armani 104 I was interested to see how this formula differed. You can read the review of Armani Griege 104 here.
The formula is surprisingly fluid for a gel polish and applies exactly the same as a normal polish, no UV hardening required. I have to confess that I do prefer the brush on the Armani version but what this adds into the mix is the change of state. It transforms very quickly from the polish formula to a type of molten plastic, Nails Inc call this Plasticiser technology. The coverage on the second coat is just enough and leaves a nice opaque gloss. I would recommend tidying up edges and any errors quickly as it is harder to do once the plastic / gel stage happens. It can be removed with acetone nail varnish remover, I use a small tipped gel paint / nail art brush to tidy dipped into the acetone.
This weekend has of course been all about Christmas, and I’ve loved wearing my Christmas jumpers and cardigans. This shade works as a lovely complement to them.
I’m really interested to see how long lasting this Gel Polish is. What do you think? Have you tried any of the other shades from the Nails Inc Gel Effect Range?
