The Glittering Gatsby

Unbelievably another year has just flown by! Last night was sworn in with a flurry of glitter, sequins and champagne! I went back to the roaring 20s into the world of The Great Gatsby and the flapper girls! Dressing as my 20′s counterpart Daisy Buchanan in a pink sequin shift dress with headband to top it off, it was a night of grown-up glamour.

So for this weeks Sunday Nails I opted for some baby pink and a bit of Glitter! For the base colour I used a new(ish) favourite of mine, Clinique’s Even Better Nail Enamel in Sweet Tooth. I used a couple of layers to build up the baby pink hue. Then painted Chanel Pepite over the top. This is just the right amount of glitter and goes on without glooping, which I find tends to happen with other varnishes. The overall effect is subtle but really rather dazzling, especially combined with all the sequins and pearls!
