This week it’s birthday #SundayNails as I celebrate another fabulous year. So I turned to Essie Cocktail Bling to adorn my birthday tips. I’ve been searching for a gorgeous light grey for awhile and purchased this one just after Christmas and have been looking forward to trying it out.
However I wanted to give it a twist. Having been born on the coldest day on record (in the United Kingdom) I decided to give it a frosted look, so I looked to Balmain Mat top coat to give it a gorgeous dove matte grey effect.
I love this look, the colour is actually a little darker with the top coat applied and mirrors our chilly weather. The formula lives up to Essie’s usual high standard and was super easy to apply. The Balmain Mat top coat is fantastic with it’s amazing 1 brush stroke application it makes manicures very simple. Although please note that the Mat top coat does appear to dry very quickly but your nails are not dry! You need to be patient. I sadly had to re-do two nails for this very reason.
Tonight I’m out for more #SundayNails birthday cocktails so will be looking forward to allowing Essie Cocktail Bling to live up to its name.
My favourite of which, is my name sake, the one and only Chapman Martini mixed at the Fumoir Bar at Claridges. A two drink cocktail, perfect for undecided people just like me. A fabulous martini of Vanilla Vodka, Passionfruit and Lemon juice with a glass of Champagne on the side. Perfection.
