What a weekend. One of those that almost feels like a holiday, with a trip to sunny Surrey then off to a music festival last night, drinks at a friends, followed by my boy cooking delicious food. So much done!
With the festival in mind, I reached for Liz Earle Moonlight. The fantastic team at Liz Earle sent this light grey, twilight shade to us quite a while ago. With the house move it went astray but it thankfully made a reappearance so it had to be tried out.
Sadly, my experience with this polish wasn’t amazing. I found it very sheer and fluid on first coat. It was slightly streaky so trying to achieve an even application was difficult to achieve. The second coat gave a better colour match but was not as opaque as I have been used to recently. I had to touch up a couple of nails with a third coat. A final top coat of Seche Vite gave it a professional gel shine. It claims to stay chip free for up to 12 days so we shall see!
I would try more Liz Earle shades, however I would like to see a slightly thicker formula to allow for a more even application and opaque finish.
Have you tried one of their nail varnishes?
