I can’t believe that it is September. With that my thoughts move towards autumn. Cosy sweaters, warm scarves, hot chocolate, black tights and boots. It’s time to get new season ready.
With this in mind I decided to go for an earthy shade one that reflected this shift in weather.
I’ve tried a few CND Vinylux shades and have been quite impressed so I was positive about trying Rubble. I didn’t want to go too dark this week, so this light brown was a great go to. The brush though traditional in shape delivers a really good coverage and application. After two coats I had a nice coverage.
I know that CND claim you can apply Vinylux direct to nails without the need for a Basecoat, I have however known them to stain the nail a little so I have still prepared my nails with the new super nourishing Nails Inc NailKale.
To add a point of interest and shake up this manicure I added a cute heart using the city shade of CND Vinylux Asphalt. A distinctly cement coloured hue, a great nod to the fact I live and work in the city.
The main shade is earthy though, a fertile soil colour. I would say Rubble is a good name for this. All I need now is lots of crunchy leaves to play with and some roasted chestnuts and I’d be set for the autumn fall.
