Despite being the nail company behind The French Manicure, Orly is so rarely talked about. Renowned professionally but outside of that it seems to hide in the shadows behind OPI, Nails Inc, Essie and Shellac. Yet it’s heritage in the 70s has seen some of the most trendsetting colours the nail world has ever seen.
I was amazed and delighted therefore to discover an Orly polish adorning my copy of the November Elle magazine. The shade quite vibrant for the season but with the day’s seeming dark and dull this adds a much need bright outlook. A real burst of vibrancy.
Since I have actually been delayed in posting this I can honestly say I have had so many compliments on this shade. I was even stopped in a shop, considering this was a free sample I was really pleased.
The colour has also lasted incredibly, it will seem almost a shame to change them again tomorrow.
The formula was really beautiful. Easy to paint, not too fluid to run, smooth and even application. Opaque from first coat. Topped with CND Weekly Top Coat.
